No evidence to prove RAW’s involvement in Lahore mosques attack : Malik

Islamabad, May 30 (ANI): Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said there isn’t enough evidence to prove the involvement of India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) in the ghastly terror attack on two Lahore mosques, in which over 90 people were killed and several injured.
Talking to reporters here, Malik rejected the statement of Lahore Police Commissioner Khusro Pervez, who had accused the RAW for Friday’s terror siege, saying there is no proper evidence to prove the involvement of any foreign agency in the massacre.
“He may have some evidences and on the basis of which he was saying so, but I cannot name anybody in such a case before I have solid evidences,” The Nation quoted Malik, as saying.
“And still proper investigation of evidences will be needed if there is indication of involvement of foreign hand in Lahore incident,” he added.
Earlier, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed the responsibility for the terror attack.
In statement which was sent to media houses in Peshawar, a self-proclaimed spokesperson of the TTP described the attack on the mosques belonging to the Ahmedia sect as ‘brave work.’
“Congratulations to the whole nation on what the brave mujahideen did yesterday in Garhi Shahu and Model Town, Lahore,” the statement rsigned by Muhammed Omar stated.
“On the whole, we do like to encourage the nation for increasing such activities, like targeted killings of qadianis, shias, the political parties that support them, as well as law enforcement agencies, the Pakistan Army and other racist parties,” it added. (ANI)
