Lahore, Feb 22 (ANI): Terming an alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) a curse, the PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif has said that his party would not shake hands with the supporters of dictators.
Addressing party workers in Lahore and Gujranwala, the PML-N chief said he dismissed the idea of an alliance with the Chaudhries of Gujrat even during governor’s rule in Punjab, as he believed such an idea was unthinkable for him and his party.
Praising the democracy in the country, Sharif said had the Raymond Davis incident taken place during General Musharraf’s rule, the accused would have been given to the United States, the Daily Times reports.
The PML-N chief, in response to Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza’s diatribes, said, “Even Sindhis had dismissed his style of politics”, and advised the party leaders to respond to this attack on the party government in Punjab in a civilised manner.
Nawaz advised the military leadership to stick to their constitutional duty of guarding the country’s frontiers. (ANI)
