Nabbed manager reveals how porn game websites are run
April 8th, 2010 - 5:55 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Apr 8 (ANI): A manager of a porn game website has come out in the open to reveal how his business works.
The manager’s revelations to the National Business Daily came just two weeks after a state watchdog agency blacklisted his website, along with 47 others, and threatened to shut them down unless they clean up their lewd contents, reports The China Daily.
The 48 websites were bashed for their erotic online flash and mobile-phone games in late March on a blacklist, a second this year, by China’s General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP)- the country’s top media watchdog.
The unnamed manager admitted porn games were mainly edited by website staff and only a few were user-generated on online forum.
The claim debunks former innocent pleas by other chided Internet giants including Pcpop.com that they are the victims of the open-ended uploading.
And the only criteria for selection is that the content should be eye-catching, said the manager.
He further disclosed the four modes that contribute to his website’s nearly 20,000 yuan profits each month.
Online porn games are reliably the top money puller. As long as web users linger on the free online pastimes, advertisers are willing to pay the bill for the Internet traffic.
The second earning machine is the external links that help transfer the traffics to other porn game providers. The profits would be shared among the websites according to agreement.
Thirdly, role-playing porn games could be downloaded free on mobile phones, which, however, collect fees for upgrades.
The last trick is “the nastiest”, said the manager, which inserts a Trojan virus on the porn games, making Internet users vulnerable to hackers and automatically log mobile users onto fee-charging service providers.
“Our website seldom introduces such games,” the manager added. (ANI)
