Islamabad, May 2: The possibility of the MQM rejoining the federal Cabinet seems likely. An MQM delegation is expected to meet Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to discuss the matter.
A senior MQM member requesting anonymity said that upcoming meeting would finalise the date of reconciliation between PPP and MQM. MQM senior leader Dr Farooq Sattar said his priority would be maximum relief to the people in the 2011-2012 budget.
To a question about the formation of deputy prime minister as per power-sharing formula, he said that MQM had never given importance to ministerial portfolios and ensuring people’s welfare was the need of the hour.(ANI)
