Naudero (Pakistan), June 22(ANI): Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has said that it was due to the pursuance of the thinking and political philosophy of Benazir Bhutto that General (retd) Pervez Musharraf was running from country to country.
“It is revenge of her assassination,” The News quoted Zardari, as saying.
He further vowed to fight back anti-democracy elements in the country by following the path of political reconciliation.
“We are standing before the enemies like a mountain. It is not easy to defeat us. We have introduced such a political formula, that even if we lose, we will be the winners, and if we win we will also be the winners,” Zardari said.
Talking about his determination to fight back the anti-democracy elements, Zardari said: “We will stop their way from all directions. They (the enemies) will have to confront democracy”.
He also said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would take along all democratic forces, including the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), the Awami National Party (ANP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), for resolving problems of the masses and strengthening the country.
“I take honour by bowing. I have learnt to give sacrifice from Benazir Bhutto. She believed in giving every sacrifice for the country, and if the need arises we will even sacrifice our lives,” Zardari said. (ANI)
