Musharraf promised to send Pak troops to Iraq: Mir Jamali

Islamabad, Oct 7 (ANI): Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf had pledged to the United States to send a Pakistani military contingent for the Iraq attack, former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has claimed.
Talking to a private TV channel, Jamali added that he had decided to oppose Musharraf’s decision to send troops to Iraq, the Daily Times reported.
Jamali also claimed he had brought the matter of “Dr Aafia Siddiqui’s abduction to the former president’s knowledge, but he had advised him to stay silent” on the issue.
It is pertinent to mention that during the announcement of his newly formed party in London, Musharraf had said he had been completely unaware of Aafia’s issue. (ANI)
