Pervez Musharraf Islamabad, Jan. 13 (ANI): Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and former President Pervez Musharraf met in Abu Dhabi to discuss the current political situation in the country.

The Nation quoted sources in Dubai as saying that the meeting was held at Emirates Palaces on Monday, but it could not be ascertained whether it was a coincidental or a scheduled meeting.

Qureshi had gone to Dubai to attend an international meeting of Special Representatives for Afghanistan and Pakistan hosted by UAE, while Musharraf landed in Abu Dhabi to meet his friends and to chalk out future plan of his politics.

Before arriving to Abu Dhabi, Musharraf telephoned and invited some politicians to discuss the current situation of Pakistan and to devise his plan of returning to the country.

Sources said Musharraf contacted some PML-Q leaders and bureaucrats to pull him out of the current situation.

“Musharraf met with Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Emirates Palaces on Monday,” a sources said.

It is notable that Emirates Palaces is the same hotel that also witnessed a meeting between Musharraf and Benazir in 2007. (ANI)
