Musharraf has used nuke-instability threat to perpetuate his rule: Imran Khan

Islamabad, Nov 22 (ANI): Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan has charged President Pervez Musharraf of using the threat to Pakistan’s nuclear assets as a ploy to further his unconstitutional rule.
“This is Musharraf’s last attempt to establish that he’s indispensable for the West in the war on terror,” the Daily Times quoted Khan, as saying in an open letter to the nation.
Khan handed over the letter to his sister when she met him before his release from the Dera Ghazi Khan Jail, on Wednesday.
Khan praised the judges of the superior courts who had preferred deposition over taking oath under the Provisional Constitution Order (PCO).
The deposed judges deserved admiration because they tried to provide relief to the common man by taking suo motu notices of their problems, he said, adding that their reinstatement was necessary for the country’s prosperity.
Khan had said that he would continue his hunger strike until the deposed judges were restored.
Only independent judges could ensure the freedom of the press, he said.
Khan urged the nation to join hands with journalists, lawyers and other forces for the restoration of the judges. (ANI)
