Moderate earthquake jolts Pakistan
October 11th, 2010 - 11:42 am ICT by ANIIslamabad, Oct 11(ANI): An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted Islamabad and the northwest region of the country early Monday morning.
According to the Dawn, the earthquake took place at about 2:45am. No casualties and damage were reported.
Meteorological Department Director General Arif Mahmood said that the epicenter of the earthquake was located near Hazara, 20kilometres northwest of Islamabad.
Tremors were also felt in Rawalpindi, Muzaffarabad, Rawal Kot, Taxila, Abbottabad, Mansehra and Peshawar. (ANI)
