MMA chief demands formation of new interim government

Islamabad, Jan.22 (ANI): The chief of the Muttahida Majalis Amal (MMA), Qazi Hussain Ahmed, on Tuesday said that he was opposed to the idea of national government and has demanded formation of new interim setup.
Addressing the district bar association in Peshawar, Qazi Hussain called for the formation of a new interim government and an independent election commission with national consensus.
The Qazi said he does not expect any positive changes from the government after next month’s polls.
He also called for the withdrawal of troops from the Swat region and tribal areas, besides restoration of deposed judges. (ANI with inputs)
