Massive quake rocks Pakistan, Northern India and UAE

Jan 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 7.2 magnitude quake struck South Western Pakistan, according to the U.S. Geological survey.

The quake occurred at 01:23:17 AM January 19th Local time (January 18, 2011 at 20:23:17 GMT).

Originally, the magnitude was reported as 7.3, then upgraded to 7.4 and finally downgraded to 7.2 at the time of publishing.

The quake was reportedly felt all over Pakistan, Northern Indian cities and as far as UAE, leaving people in in a state of panic.

Many people who were asleep woke up by the quake took to Twitter to share their experiences.

There are no reports of casualties so far, however there are unconfirmed reports of buildings damaged at Karachi.
