London, June 24 (ANI): Mark Ronson pocketed an impressive amount from his latest gig the singer raked in a whopping 1million pounds for a mere 45-minute act at the lavish 21st birthday party of haulage heiress Freya Dawson.
The amount worked out at roughly 370 pounds a second, reports the Mirror.
The party, held in the grounds of the Dawsons Cotswolds mansion, was visited by almost 500 guests.
Freya made a grand entrance by being lowered from the ceiling on wires. However, she was shocked when Ronson came out and sang Happy Birthday.
The producer joined a supergroup, including Jamiroquai’s band and DJs from Hed Kandi, and had the whole place rocking with a blistering set, which included his version of The Zutons’ Valerie.
The Moulin Rouge-themed party was said to have cost Freya’s dad - haulage tycoon Peter Dawson - a massive 4million pounds.
“I’ve never known anything like it. The party was the type of thing reserved for royalty, the Mirror quoted a source, as saying.
“The food was first-class, there was plenty of booze and Mark Ronson was great. All the girls were thrilled when they saw him come out - he was lucky to get out of there alive!
“His set was amazing and worth every penny. The entire party all crushed into the tent and he had everyone up dancing.
“Freya was thrilled when Mark sang Happy Birthday to her - it was her dream come true. The fireworks at the end were just spectacular, too, the source added. (ANI)
