Man in China refused entry by wife for not bringing enough money home
February 8th, 2011 - 6:07 pm ICT by ANIKuala Lumpur, Feb 08 (ANI): A wife in China barred her husband’s entry into the house because he did not bring enough money for the Lunar New Year celebration.
Nanyang Siang Pau reported that the wife of the 35-year-old man even said she would divorce him after the holiday break.
The construction worker, known as Ah Chiang, said he used to hand over all his salary to his wife every time he returned to their home in Jiangsu, China.
Late last year, however, his employer suffered losses and he received only RMB2,000 (RM930) before returning home on Jan 31.
On learning he only had that much, his wife did not let him enter the house and scolded him, reports the Star Online.
“How (are we supposed) to sustain this family with that little money?
“(We) can’t go on like this anymore. I want a divorce, (we) will file the papers after Chinese New Year,” she was reported as saying. (ANI)
