Man gets 10-year jail for spying for Pakistan

Lucknow, Feb 20 (IANS) A court in Uttar Pradesh Friday sentenced a man to 10 years’ imprisonment on charges of leaking information about defence installations to Pakistan, the police said.
Afroz, a native of Bareilly district in the state, was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment by a chief judicial magistrate (CJM) court in Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh, the police added.

Afroz was arrested with secret documents by the Special Task Force (STF) sleuths in 2006 from the Katra Jalaludeen locality in Rampur, some 270 km from Lucknow.
