London, Mar.11 (ANI): Notwithstanding the demand of Pakistani police officials, the father of the kidnapped five-year old boy, Sahil Saeed, who was abducted from his grandmother’s house in Punjab’s Jhelum last week, has returned to London.

Sahil’s father, Raja Saeed, reportedly took a flight back to London even as Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik said the police wanted him to stay back in Jhelum as a witness in the case.

Meanwhile, a new twist has emerged as Raja’s family member at his house in Greater Manchester said that they have no idea that he was planning to fly back to Britain.

A friend’s brother told them they saw Raja Saeed on a plane on Tuesday night. However, he has not returned to his home or been in contact with the family, The BBC reports.

The family members insisted that there were no reason why Raja would leave while the investigation into Sahil’s abduction is still continuing in Pakistan.

The sudden disappearance of Raja has added to the confusion in the abduction case, which is widely believed to have been masterminded by some one ‘very close’ to the family.

“There was someone very close to the family because of the way the situation happened, the way the abduction has happened, the way the entry was made, the way the conduct was made during that whole operation,” Malik had said earlier.

Pakistani police officials had claimed to solve the case within 24 hours on Thursday, when Sahil was kidnapped, but admitted that they were clueless even after three days post the abduction.

“We are totally blind with no clue in hand so far about the kidnapped child, but our investigation continues. We are concerned about the safety and security of the child,” senior police official Raja Mohammad Tahir Bashir, who is heading a team of officials working on the case, had said on Sunday. (ANI)
