Kabul, Dec 26 (ANI): Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai has condemned Saturday’s deadly suicide bomb attack in northwestern Pakistan, in which dozens of people were killed at a World Food Programme project.

“I strongly condemn this attack and I ask the Pakistani government to spare no efforts in eliminating these terrorists,” the Dawn quoted Karzai, as saying in a statement released by his spokesman’s office.

“The Bajaur agency terrorist attack once again reveals the true face of those who have no other motive but shedding blood and causing terror,” he added.

Karzai also stressed the need for both countries to work together on boosting efforts against violent extremism in the aftermath of the suicide attack in the lawless Bajaur tribal district of northwest Pakistan.

He “emphasised strengthening joint efforts (with Pakistan) in the war against terrorism,” the statement added.

On Saturday, a female bomber had blown herself up on a large crowd receiving food aid at a distribution centre of the World Food Programme at Khar in the Bajaur region, killing 45 people and wounding 80 others. (ANI)
