Karnataka celebrates after India defeats Pakistan
March 31st, 2011 - 12:56 am ICT by IANSBangalore, March 30 (IANS) Karnataka erupted in celebrations with a burst of crackers across major towns to greet India’s victory over Pakistan in the cricket World Cup semifinals at Mohali.
Celebrations indeed began after Pakistan lost its ninth wicket in Umar Gul. Young men went around on motorcycles and cars honking, whistling and shouting slogans hailing Indian captain M.S. Dhoni.
