Karachi police arrest four suspected target killers
October 13th, 2011 - 5:10 am ICT by IANSIslamabad, Oct 13 (IANS) Karachi police Wednesday claimed to have arrested four suspected target killers allegedly involved in the killing of 73 people.
Clifton police have taken into custody two suspects named Faisal Ansari and Daniyal after an exchange of fire in the area of Zamzama. Police also recovered two Kalashnikovs and two pistols from the suspects, Xinhua reported.
The police claimed that during investigation the two men confessed to the killing of 34 people.
Meanwhile, Anti-Terrorism Cell of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) conducted a raid near Pirabad Graveyard of the Orangi Town and arrested two more suspects Abeed alias Barasti and Tariq Mustafa alias Burger and recovered one Kalashnikov and two 9MM pistols from their possession.
Senior Superintendent of Police Chaudhry Aslam of the CID claimed that the two were involved in 39 cases of target killings.
