Karachi killings’ toll rises to 39
July 7th, 2011 - 1:57 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, July 7 (IANS) The death toll from target killings in the southern port city of Karachi has risen to 39 in three days with at least eight people being gunned down and several others injured after midnight, a media report said Thursday.
Three people were shot dead near Makki Masjid and Zoo in Garden area. Two people were killed in Gulistan-e-Johar in Karachi when unidentified men opened fire at a taxi in Mosmiat area, Geo News quoted the police as saying.
Unidentified men, in a separate incident, killed one person in Baldia town.
In another incident, a man was shot dead and two people were wounded near Perfume Chowk in Gulistan-e-Johar area in Karachi.
Another man was gunned down and seven injured in Sarjani town while unidentified armed men injured two in Shah Faisal colony and Nazimabad.
