December 12th, 2011 - 1:21 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Dec 12 (IANS) A gold-medallist Pakistani veterinarian committed suicide after failing to get a job in the past two years, his family said.
Danish Nawaz, a doctor of veterinary medicine, committed suicide at his village in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, reported the daily Dawn.
“Nawaz had done his DVM degree from Agriculture University, Peshawar, and got gold medal two years ago. He (wanted) a good job and support his poor father,” his brother Kashif Khan was quoted as saying.
He said that Nawaz applied for many relevant posts, but was rejected every time.
Kashif said Nawaz would despair over having spent huge amounts of money of his father on education and his inability to take care of the family.
