Jamaat-e-Islami to lead Danish product boycott march
April 6th, 2008 - 5:27 pm ICT by adminKarachi , Apr.6 (ANI): The fundamentalist Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) will lead representatives of over ten religious and political parties in a march to boycott Danish products here today.
Titled as the Shan-e-Mustafa March, it will start from Mazaar-e-Quaid (Jinnah memorial) at 4:00 p.m. local time. Prayers will be offered at Sea Breeze Plaza where party leaders will address the public, said JI spokesman Sarfaraz Ahmed.
The march will end at 6:30 p.m.
The participants will take oath to boycott Danish and Dutch products, he added.
The protest march is being undertaken in view of a Danish cartoonist depicting the Prophet Mohammad in bad light. (ANI)
