Infiltration bid foiled, four militants killed
July 3rd, 2010 - 11:03 am ICT by IANSSrinagar, July 3 (IANS) Four separatist guerrillas were killed in Jammu and Kashmir Saturday when the army foiled an infiltration bid from across the Line of Control (LoC), an army spokesman said here.
A group of heavily armed guerrillas tried to sneak into Nawgam sector of Kupwara district in the Kashmir Valley and the army challenged them, Lt Col J.S. Brar told IANS.
“The terrorists opened fire on the surrounding troops resulting in a gun battle. Four terrorists were killed. Searches are still on,” he said.
