Indus water commissioner to brief parliament committee

Islamabad, June 11 (IANS) Pakistan’s Indus Water Commissioner Jamaat Ali Shah will give a detailed briefing to parliament’s Kashmir Committee on the thorny water dispute between Pakistan and India Monday.
According to the assembly secretariat, the Kashmir Committee meeting will be presided over by its chairman, Maulana Fazl ur Rehman, Online news agency reported Friday.

A host of issues like the Wullar barrage, Kishan Ganga, Baglihar dam and other issues relating to water with India will be taken up.

Shah will also brief the committee member on the implementation of Indus Basin reserve treaty and effects of stopping of water by India.
