Indian, Pakistani people want peaceful Kashmir solution: Gilani

Yousuf Raza Gilani Islamabad, April 21(ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the people of India and Pakistan want peaceful solutions of all outstanding bilateral issues, including the Kashmir dispute.

Gilani had visited India to watch the ICC World Cup Indo-Pak semi-final in Mohali on March 30 on the invitation of his Indian counterpart, Dr Manmohan Singh.

“During the recent meeting in Mohali, I discussed all issues, including Kashmir, with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress Chairperson Sonia Gandhi,” the Daily Times quoted Gilani, as saying.

He said that the people of both nations share the same opinion of peaceful resolution of all issues.

Gilani also said that the resolution of the dispute in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations and the wishes of the Kashmiri people could help efforts for peace and economic prosperity of the South Asian region. (ANI)
