New Delhi, Aug 27 (IANS) India is ready to share more details with Pakistan about Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed over his role in the Mumbai terrorist attacks but it is time for Islamabad to act, official sources said Thursday.
“We will be happy to share more details. The ball is now in Pakistan’s court,” an official source said here at the end of a conference of Indian ambassadors that started Monday. “It is for Pakistan to take take meaningful steps in this regard.”

The comments come days after New Delhi provided a sixth dossier to Pakistan that focused on Saeed.

The issue of India’s strategy of dealing with cross-border terrorism figured prominently at the conclave of envoys.

Last week, Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao handed over to Pakistan High Commissioner Shahid Malik the latest dossier on the November 2008 terror attack. Saeed is accused of masterminding the Mumbai carnage that left some 170 people dead.

Intensifying pressure on Pakistan, External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna Wednesday said the Interpol red corner notice against him vindicated India’s stand on his involvement in the terror attacks. He asked Islamabad to take action against him.

Saeed heads the Jamaat-ud-Dawa, a front organisation of the Lashkar-e-Taiba blamed by India for the attacks.

The red corner notice on Tuesday followed the non-bailable arrest warrants by a special court in Mumbai against Saeed, Lakhvi and 20 others for their alleged roles in the 26/11 attacks.

The notice was issued after the CBI asked the Interpol for it.
