Lahore, July 5 (ANI): Lashing out at both the federal government and the Punjab administration for failing to protect people from terror strikes, cricketer turned politician Imran Khan has said had he been the country’s Prime Minister, he would have wiped out terrorism within 90 days.
Talking to mediapersons after visiting people who were injured in the Hazrat Data Gunj Bukhsh shrine terror attack at the Mayo Hospital here, Imran blasted the country’s leadership for acting like ’slaves’ of the United States.
“The federal and provincial government are slaves of the United States. Those from Raiwind go upside down on a single call from Richard Holbrooke,” The Daily Times quoted Imran, as saying.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chief urged the government to chalk out a proper strategy against the terrorists.
“There is a need to differentiate between terrorists and those who were against the US policies,” Imran added.
“People are blaming India for terrorism in Pakistan, but many other countries are also involved in such activities,” he said.
Imran said that terrorists have not only killed thousands of innocent people but they have also ruined the nation’s economy. (ANI)
