P. Chidambaram Karachi, Apr 25(ANI): Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed has challenged India to prove his organization’s link to the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, claiming that India would never be able to substantiate the allegation.

Saeed said that India had sent a 400-page report to the Pakistani government in an attempt to substantiate its claims, but had failed miserable.

He also accused the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)-led federal government of being spineless and succumbing to the pressure from India and the United States.

“Pakistan’s Interior Ministry tried hard to defend the Indian stance but failed. Pakistan is confronted with internal and external challenges and India is benefiting from that. Even the US is now talking India’s talk,” the Dawn quoted Saeed, as saying.

India has long been demanding action against JuD, and has provided enormous evidence regarding its involvement in the attacks.

Indian Home Minister P. Chidambaram, during his visit to Islamabad last year, had also demanded substantial action against the JuD.

The attacks, which drew widespread condemnation across the world, began on 26 November 2008 and lasted until 29 November, killing at least 173 people and wounding at least 308. (ANI)
