Yousuf Raza Gilani Islamabad, Mar 30(ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, who will be leaving for India on Wednesday (today) to watch the Indo-Pak World Cup semi-final match in Mohali, is likely to discuss all bilateral issues with his Indian counterpart Dr Manmohan Singh.

The two prime ministers are expected to have a conversation on all issues of mutual interest on the sidelines of the cricket match, the Dawn quoted a Foreign Office statement, as saying.

Indian Prime Minister Dr Singh will also host a dinner meeting in the honour of his Pakistani counterpart, the statement added.

The Pakistan premier will be accompanied, inter-alia, by important political leaders, members of the federal cabinet and parliamentarians.

Gilani’s presence in Mohali signifies the tremendous enthusiasm of the people of Pakistan for cricket, and also coincides with the resumption of the Indo-Pak dialogue process, the statement concluded.

In what is being perceived as cricket diplomacy, Dr. Singh had last week extended the invitation to both Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and Gilani simultaneously to come over and witness the mega event. (ANI)
