Yousuf Raza Gilani Islamabad, Jan. 25 (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s security arrangements have come under scrutiny after it was revealed that many women security officials trained by notorious US security company Blackwater are part of his special security team.

According to The News, Blackwater has provided training to some 100 security officials, most of them women, at the Sihala police station.

Blackwater had set up its training centre at the Sihala police station, which the Pakistani government later closed under pressure.

Although, the government officials had been denying the existence of Blackwater, US Defence Secretary Robert Gates confirmed its presence in an interview during his visit to Pakistan.

Government officials confirmed the deployment of these officials but added that they were trained under an agreement signed during the Musharraf era and that they had nothing to do with Blackwater. (ANI)
