Yousuf Raza Gilani Islamabad, Apr. 3 (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has rejected Washington’s growing concerns about how Islamabad would use the increased US aid.

“The Obama administration should not worry about the proper use of its aid,” the Daily Times quoted Gilani, as saying.

Gilani said Pakistan has sacrificed much more than the US in the war on terror, and hence, Washington should stop questioning Islamabad’s accountability.

“How can they say that they want accountability? We have sacrificed much more than what they have sacrificed. We have sacrificed our soldiers,” he said.

“We have sacrificed our economy. What else do they want? The combined NATO forces casualties are less than the loss of lives of Pakistani soldiers,” he added.

Earlier, President Barack Obama had said that US couldn’t continue handing blank cheques to Pakistan if it doesn’t deliver. (ANI)
