Four killed in Peshawar blast (Lead)
June 9th, 2011 - 1:15 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, June 9 (IANS) At least four people were killed and many injured in a blast Thursday morning in Pakistan’s northwest city of Peshawar, Xinhua reported.
Police told Dunya TV the blast took place at about 10 a.m. when a passenger van was hit by a roadside bomb while passing by a school in Matni area of the city.
Officials said they got a tip-off that bombs were also planted in nearby places.
Security forces arrived at the blast site and a search operation was begun.
