Lahore, Mar. 6 (ANI): Pakistan Interior Ministry chief Rehman Malik on Friday said he could not rule out the foreign involvement in Lahore attack, which claimed eight lives.
According to The News, six Pakistani police and two civilians were killed on Tuesday when gunmen ambushed the team en route to a Test match in Lahore. Seven Sri Lankan cricketers and a coach were among 19 people wounded.
“I cannot rule out the involvement of a foreign hand in the incident, Rehman Malik told reporters here. when asked about the involvement of Sri Lankas militancy group Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) on the attack, Rehman said that the investigators have not found any leads suggesting the involvement of any religious elements.
The Minister refused to divulge information about how the probe was progressing. (ANI)
