Five suspected militants killed in Pakistan
January 6th, 2012 - 3:25 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Jan 6 (IANS) Five suspected militants were killed by security forces in Pakistan’s northwest tribal region bordering Afghanistan while carrying out an operation, according to media reports.
Armed forces pounded militant hideouts in Mamozai and Khadizai areas of upper Orakzai region and destroyed at least two hideouts, the Dawn News quoted sources as saying.
An earlier operation had forced militants from central Kurram and Orakzai regions to seek refuge in upper Orakzai agency, said security officials.
