Fighter jet crashes in Pakistan’s Punjab province

- MIANWALI, Pakistani (BNO NEWS) — A Pakistani Air Force fighter jet crashed in the country’s Punjab province on Friday morning, officials told BNO News. Several people were reported injured.
The plane, which was confirmed to be an FT-7 fighter jet, went down in the city of Mianwali, according to Humaun Viqar Zephyr, who is a spokesman for the Pakistani Air Force. Zephyr said the plane was on a routine training flight but did not have information on casualties or the number of people on board.
The plane reportedly crashed in a residential area of the city, according to GEO TV. The channel reported that the aircraft struck at least one home and that at least four people were injured. The two pilots were said to be among the injured. There was no immediate word on their conditions.
