Fifteen injured in Karachi University blast
December 28th, 2010 - 5:14 pm ICT by ANIKarachi, Dec 28 (ANI): At least fifteen people were hurt in a blast at the University of Karachi (KU) on Tuesday.
According to SSP Naeem Sheikh, a parcel bomb was used in the blast, Samaa TV reported.
Heavy contingents of police and rangers with rescue teams rushed to the scene and began shifting the injured to hospitals.
The initial reports describe that the bomb was hidden in a small parcel, and blasted during the Zohar Prayer at a place between the mosque and cafeteria near the Arts and Economics Lobby.
The administration of the university has cancelled all papers, as fear prevails among the students and university staff following the blast. (ANI)
