Taliban Peshawar, Nov.3 (ANI): North West Frontier Province (NWFP) Inspector General of Police (IG) Malik Naveed Khan has said that the terror groups involved in the devastating blasts that have rocked Peshawar in the recent past have been identified, and they all belong to South Waziristan, the Taliban’s stronghold.

Addressing media persons during a press conference here, Khan said people, who masterminded the recent attacks in Hayatabad and Meena Bazar, in which over 150 people were killed, have been traced.

He said there were at least three groups involved in the terror attacks.

“Three groups, responsible for providing explosives and vehicles have been traced, whereas arrested people have informed about the names of their accomplices during investigation,” The News quoted Khan, as saying.

Responding to a question, he said the administration would soon introduce a comprehensive information system so that the concerned agencies get information regarding any untoward incident on time to take prompt action.

“An information system will be introduced to help city police to get timely information, whereas security will be improved with the help of police along with citizens on check posts throughout the province,” Khan added. (ANI)
