Eight security men hurt in Pakistan grenade attack (Lead)
June 20th, 2010 - 2:34 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, June 20 (IANS) Eight security personnel were injured Sunday in a grenade attack in Pakistan’s northwestern Quetta city, media reports said.
Motorcycle-borne militants hurled a grenade at a security forces’ vehicle near Sariab road in Quetta, injuring eight personnel of the Pakistan’s Frontier Corps, Geo TV said quoting police.
Witnesses said fire tenders rushed to the scene as a fire broke out after the attack. The injured were taken to hospital.
The authorities have meanwhile cordoned off the blast site.
