Eight militants killed in Pakistan

Islamabad, Oct 4 (IANS) At least eight militants were killed and one soldier was injured Monday evening in a clash between militants and security forces in northwestern tribal belt of Pakistan, a media report said.
The clash took place in Dabori area of Orakzai region, a militant insurgent area at Pak-Afghan border, believed to be a safe haven of Pakistani Taliban, Xinhua cited local media reports quoting officials.
There were no immediate reports of the number of militants and security forces that took part in the clash. Identities of the killed Taliban were also not known yet.
