Islamabad, Aug 23(ANI): At least eight people were killed and several injured in a bomb blast in Pakistan’s Kurram Tribal Agency on Monday.
The remote-controlled explosion was detonated when a tribal meeting was being held in Khomsa town to resolve a dispute, Xinhua news agency reports.
Earlier in the day, a minor blast had injured seven security personnel near a mosque in Bara town in neighbouring Khyber Tribal Agency.
Taliban insurgents have waged a bombing campaign across the northwest region.
However, in recent weeks, they have kept a low profile due to the unprecedented disaster caused by the floods, which have affected over 20 million people. (ANI)
