London, May 23 (ANI): Legendary actor Clint Eastwood has urged US presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton to carry on fighting in the ongoing race leading up to the next U.S. election.

The Dirty Harry star, a long-time supporter of Republican presidential hopeful John McCain, said that he feels bad for Clinton and believes she deserves more respect than she is currently receiving.

The actor also urged the former First Lady not to give up, despite rival Barack Obama declaring he is in sight of victory.

Everybodys trying to talk her into folding, but it doesnt seem like the spirit of Americana, The Sun quoted him, as saying.

I watch Clinton and feel sorry for her and wonder, What are all these people telling her to run away for?

Shes showing her strength by hanging in there. Put yourself in her place. Youve gone out there and made a thousand speeches, shaken a million hands and been out there working your ass off. Then somebody comes up and says, Why dont you just drop out of it? he added. (ANI)
