Chopper crashes in Islamabad, crew members survive (Lead)
March 10th, 2011 - 2:58 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, March 10 (IANS) A military helicopter crashed near a bridge here Thursday, a media report said. All three crew members survived.
The incident took place at about 11 a.m. when the military helicopter crashed in the Burma Bridge area of Islamabad shortly after it took off from a military camp located on the outskirts of the capital, Xinhua quoted PTV as reporting.
An army rescue team reached the site shortly after the helicopter crashed.
Army sources said the chopper crashed due to technical problems.
