Cameron arrives in Pakistan for ‘making a fresh start’ in bilateral ties

David Cameron Islamabad, April 5(ANI): British Prime Minister David Cameron has arrived in Pakistan on a one-day visit on the invitation of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani.

Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Raza Rabbani received the British Prime Minister on his first trip to Pakistan, Dunya News reports.

Cameron will hold meetings with both political and military leadership of Pakistan, including President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Gilani, during his one-day visit.

UK-Pakistan bilateral relations, the situation of the region, the ongoing war on terror and other issues would be discussed during the meeting.

Cameron said that a new era of bilateral relationship between both nations would begin with his visit to Pakistan.

‘Lets put behind the mistakes of past and make a fresh start in our relationship and. It is time for a new step in relations between Britain and Pakistan” Cameron said.
According to the Foreign Office, the visit of the British prime minister will open new avenues of cooperation between the two countries. (ANI)
