BSF trooper killed in Pakistan firing
February 24th, 2010 - 2:11 pm ICT by IANSJammu, Feb 24 (IANS) A Border Security Force (BSF) trooper was injured Wednesday when Pakistani troops fired across the border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba sector, officials said.
According to BSF officials, the firing in Samba sector, 40 km south of Jammu, started around 8 a.m. and lasted for about 10 minutes.
One trooper received bullets in his chest and has been shifted to Samba hospital for treatment, an official said.
The Indian side did not retaliate, he added.
