Bomb blast averted in Karachi
July 20th, 2012 - 9:09 pm ICT by IANSKarachi, July 20 (IANS) A bomb weighing 13 kg was found near a road here in this Pakistani port city Friday, and was defused by a bomb disposal squad.
The explosive was found at the Safora Chowrangi, Geo News reported.
Witnesses said the bomb was planted near a school. It was packed in a cement block, and the explosive material included ball bearings, nuts and bolts.
A remote control was also found later.
