Blast near mosque kills four in Pak’s Lower Dir
December 18th, 2009 - 5:47 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )Peshawar, Dec. 18 (ANI): At least four people were killed and over a dozen seriously injured in a powerful bomb blast which occurred near a mosque in Timar Gira area in lower Dir on Friday.
DIG Malakand range, Idrees Khan has confirmed the death of four persons in the blast, The News reports.
Relief and rescue operations were still going on till reports last filtered in.
Security officials have cordoned off the area and a massive search and combing operation has been launched to nab the perpetrators.
The death figures are feared to rise as the incident site was crowded with people offering Friday prayers when the blast occured. (ANI)
