- Peshawar, Nov.13 (ANI): At least eight persons were killed and 30 others injured in a powerful bomb blast that rocked Peshawar early on Friday morning.
The blast occurred near the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) building in front of the Army Stadium around 6.45 am.
The ISI building was heavily damaged in the blast. However, the nature of the blast is yet to be ascertained, The Dawn reports.
Eyewitnesses said there were also some gunshots heard just before the deafening blast.
Television footage showed damaged buildings and debris scattered on the road adjacent to the ISI building, which could have been the probable target.
An emergency has been declared at all hospitals in the city.
Bomb disposal squad chief Shafqat Malik said the blast could have been triggered off by a remote control device, but added that it was too early to ascertain the nature of blast and the amount of explosives used. (ANI)
