Blast hits Kabul, details sketchy
May 4th, 2011 - 3:10 am ICT by BNO NewsKABUL (BNO NEWS) — An explosion hit the Afghan capital of Kabul on late Tuesday evening, the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said.
“We have a report of an explosion in Kabul. We are currently checking with our Afghan partners for more information,” an ISAF spokesperson said, without providing more details.
It was not immediately clear if there were casualties as a result of the explosion.
Last weekend, the Taliban announced the beginning of a ’spring offensive’ against coalition forces and other high-profile targets in Afghanistan.
