BB’s second death anniversary to be a low-key affair

Islamabad, Dec. 14 (ANI): Former Pakistan Prime Minister’s second death anniversary is likely to be celebrated as a low key affair, as the country is facing grave security situation and the advent of Muharram. The PPP leadership might refrain from giving a call to party workers to gather at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh this time because it would fall very close to the Ashura, The Dawn quoted a senior party member, as saying. While Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari will visit Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on Bhutto’s second anniversary, he may avoid addressing public rallies. Presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar said the party leadership was still chalking out plans for Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary and final decisions were yet to be taken.
The CEC meeting could either be held after the anniversary or before the start of Muharram, he added. (ANI)
