Lahore, Dec 24 (ANI): A three-member Australian delegation is all set to visit Pakistan in the last week of January next year to take stock of the security situation in the country.
“Cricket Australia has written a letter to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that a delegation will visit Pakistan in January to check the security situation. It’s a routine assessment tour. Australia assesses facilities and security wherever its teams tour,” the Daily Times quoted a PCB spokesman, as saying.
The Australian cricket team is scheduled to visit Pakistan in March 2008 after a gap of 10 years. It would play three Tests, five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 match during the two-month tour.
In the month of July this year, a six-member Australian delegation had visited Pakistan to assess security scenario ahead of its A and Under-19 teams tours. (ANI)
