Islamabad, Nov 23 (ANI): Pakistan Human Rights Minister Ansar Burney has said that all political prisoners, including Supreme Court Bar Association President Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan, will be released in the next few days.
They all will be freed so that they can take part in general election; the Daily Times quoted Burney, as saying.
You will see all of them free and contesting the election, he said.
He said majority of political activists would be released by today morning (Friday) to help create conducive environment for the election.
Appealing all political parties and workers to help improve the law and order situation for transparent elections, Burney said that he took notice of baton-charge on journalists in Karachi and has ordered the police officers concerned to submit a report on within 48 hours. (ANI)
